The Sea-Gull 6075 is something genuinely different from the usual homage watches — this is a real in-house movement from one of the world's most significant watch manufacturers, not a copy of someone else's design. Sea-Gull has been producing watches since 1955, and remarkably, a substantial share of the mechanical movements used across the entire watch industry worldwide originate from Sea-Gull's factories.
Built around Sea-Gull's own ST17 automatic calibre, the 6075 is a clean, Bauhaus-influenced dress watch — the design philosophy here is deliberate restraint, with nothing decorative that isn't functional. The in-house movement allows for a genuinely slim 10mm case, noticeably thinner than most automatic watches at this price point, which typically rely on bulkier third-party movements. It's finished with a sapphire crystal, a screw-down caseback (a detail usually reserved for higher-priced watches), and a small seconds sub-dial at 6 o'clock for a distinctive, understated look.
This is best suited to smart-casual and business wear rather than daily rough use — a genuine dress watch with real manufacturing pedigree behind it, at a price point where that's genuinely unusual.
